We’re thrilled to announce the keynote speaker of the next Technori Pitch on May 29, 2012 will be Nick Kokonas, the business visionary behind Chicago’s haute cuisine standard bearers Alinea, Next, and The Aviary.
Foodies across the country are well-acquainted with the iconic names of Alinea, Next, and The Aviary. Together, they represent the penultimate fine dining destinations in Chicago which continually strive to push the boundaries in food concepts and dining experience.
The culinary genius of Partner and Executive Chef Grant Achatz coupled with Kokonas’ business acumen, have garnered international acclaim for their projects. Accolades include Alinea being the only Chicago restaurant to hold the highest, 3 Michelin Stars, a consistent top 10 ranking in the “World’s Fifty Best Restaurants” list for multiple years, and James Beard Foundation Awards.
Kokonas will speak to his personal experience of becoming a leading innovator in the industry and his vision for the future in how technology will be instrumental in reinventing the restaurant as experienced by diners, vendors and cutting edge restaurateurs in the coming years.
Technori Pitch is a monthly showcase of Chicago’s most innovative startups pitching their latest technologies. The last Tuesday of every month, Technori Pitch gathers 500 impassioned entrepreneurs, developers, designers, tech companies, investors and general tech enthusiasts to witness some of Chicago’s most innovative companies either launch or existing ones, present their latest offerings.
